MD-2 TEXAS LIONS HALL OF FAME 2012

 

In 2012, District 2-T2 may nominate one of its Lions for induction into the MD-2 Texas Lions Hall of Fame. 

 

The Hall of Fame Committee is now accepting nominations for this honor until March 13, 2012.

 

All Lions Clubs in District 2-T2 may submit one candidate meeting the criteria as shown in the link below.

ENVIRONMENTAL PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS

ANNOUNCED AT JAN 21 MIDWINTER CONFERENCE

 

Lion Ruth Davis' winning photo was among more than 45 entries in the 3rd annual District 2-T2 Lions Environmental Photo Contest held Jan. 21 at the Midwinter Conference in Lubbock.

 

Lion Davis, a member of the Post Lions Club,  won the weather phenomenon division and "Best of Show" rosette with her photo of the October 17 haboob in Lubbock.  Her photo will advance to state competition at the MD-2 Texas Lions Convention, May 17-19 in Houston.

 

She also won the special theme division, "Protecting Our Future With Trees, which depicted trees and the vital role they play in our communities.

 

Other winners were:

 

Lion Kimberly McCain, Lubbock Hub Lions Club president, who won the plant division

 

Past District Governor Fredda Bucknery of the Roby Lions Club who won the animal division.

 

Lion Ted Boyd of the Redbud Lions Club who won the landscape division.

 

Certificates and Lions' Environmental Photo calendars were awarded to all winners.

 

"Our district made a great showing for its third time to participate in this competition.  We expect participation will continue to grow in the future and will foster an increased awareness of our environment," said District 2-T2 Governor Daniel Warrick.

TEXAS LIONS LEADERSHIP FORUM
